As suggested in this comment, I reworked a bit the tribune libre logos, and started some experiments to see how the whole web page could look. Comments are welcome ...

I finally managed to get Inkscape from cvs and built it. Of course, it required many missing packages, I've added a few ones to the wiki page. My plan was to work on the node align feature. The code for the align feature on object is in src/align.cpp, but looks like it is mainly C. Very well written C, but still C. So my first work will be to reimplement the current feature in C++, with GTKmm and libstdc++. I never used nor the first, nor the second, but looks like I can manage that. So here I go...
The second objective is to work on the node align feature. The main problem is that the GUI and the behaviour are different : there are far less possibilities to align severap points than shapes. Moreover, how do I cope with control points ? Do I let them untouched ?
I'll post GUI propositions and patches here as soon as I have something working ...

I touched up the CSS code to fix the problem on post abstracts, akapost-chapo, and fixed a case typo which prevented this dotClear logo to display

The list of things to do grows faster than the done list =o/

Just look at what the inkscape guys are preparing for the 0.39 release. I'm very happy to see EPS work going on, as I have many logos and xfig schemas in this format, this will ease my work.
What I'd like now is a good SVG import in OpenOffice.org, along with a nice rendering in PDFs. Speaking of PDFs and OpenOffice.org, I just found that today, but dit not successed to get it working (produces a ridiculously small pdf file, and GhostrScript fails tot open the .ps ). I hope to see this quickly in the main OpenOffice.org releases.

As you can see, I uploaded the TreeGarden theme to the server.
This should be full of bugs, it's UNTESTED on IE. It has already been a lot of work, and I have still a lot to do.

Vectors are really great for reuse. I just quickly drawn the drawing table for the wiki and the anvil for the reign site. I must say that I like the night look on the Let's love button. What do you think ? :

I might consider doing an highlighted/unhighlighted version of each to do nice CSS hovers
Update : Smaller buttons, added the ARKHAM one

TCL is really a powerfull language. Very simple once you have understood that it just plays with strings and lists.
But when it comes to Object Oriented pardigms, it is definively ugly. Of course, it is not made for such a treatment. But who said I had the choice ?
What I like very much with OO languages, is that you can read well written code as if you were reading english, if you choose carefully your names, you quickly understand what's going on. Appending something to a list in OO is as simple as mylist.append(obj). In tcl, lappend mylist $obj (note the absence of $ on the list, you pass the list name in parameter, and not it contents). Quite similar, but the order is different. The first word you read in OO is the modified object, in tcl the first word is the action.
Oh well. This post just to say I prefer to read code written in a OO language.

I finally erased the phpwiki of Caelumia, included all the entries to the main Wiki page we've set for our projects.
Now, access is restricted to team members, so feel free to join us. All the writtings, thoughs and work about all active project are not centralized in this wiki, which url is kept secret :]
here
http://caelumia.regne.net/
will be the public website for the caelumia project, design by Obi, code by Myself :) That wont deal with the technical part of the project anymore.

At last, we got DotClear up and running on regne.net server. This is the blog of the regne community. At the momment, only leshauss and me are registred as authors, but others could come.
I am currently working on a Tree Garden theme for DotClear, which should be available soon.
I plan to share here tips and tricks about web design, art work, libre software and its tools, and may be more
